I want to report that less than a week ago, this issue re-appeared for
me as an _intermittant_ problem. After failing to find the drive, it
seems to be able to boot normally if I warm-reboot with Ctrl-Alt-Del.
The rest of you should try that, or using your system reset switch if
available.
