When converting a large NITF file (~26mb) to JPEG, I get the following
error:
e.g. gdal_translate -of JPEG mylarge.nitf mylarge.jpeg
Input file size is 30464, 22528
OERROR 1
Is there a workaround?

This workaround didn't work for me... I tried running it from the
command line and got this:

I was having the same issue described in the OP. I'm running 10.04 32bit
with all the latest updates on a Dell Latitude D630 and Intel 4965. I
use WPA2 with AES and default settings on TX power and such. I tried
everything on my card that I could think of and after all of that, I
changed my Linksys
Same thing Dell Latitude D630 (BCM4311). I switched back to the B43
driver and have yet to have a crash since.
Does this only affect amd64 or is anyone using i386 with the same crash?
