Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

I can open and navigate through an archive on a remote file system (via
sftp) but when I go to extract it it claims that it was successful when
it actually did nothing. I can understand if it has a problem with
remote file systems , I would just like to know about it beforehand or
afterward when it failed in the attempt.

The current extraction completion message is wrong.
