I fixed this by using this patch
(https://launchpadlibrarian.net/73763550/hdparm-functions.patch) that
translates (unlinks) HDD path symlink inside /etc/hdparm.conf to

stable and unstable). I have rev 07 GPU (GM45/Core 2 Duo)

volume to 0, it can be restored.
The music is clear however on headphonses.

I believe the "Permission denied" is another issue - somehow created
"pulse" dir was owned by the root, and no sound could be played (from

When opening any pdf file xpdf crashes, when I open by terminal I got

So in my case it seems like the new kernel gave priority to the Intel
card and that's why my screen no longer worked. I fixed this by adding
"radeon.modeset=1 video=LVDS:1600x900" to my kernel cmdline in grub.
This forces the ATI driver to take over and things are back to how they
were before.

When i start my netbook sometimes ONE icon is duplicated in notification
area. One of them is working, and the other one is just an icon, can't
click it or anything. Right clicking it gets me to gnome-panel "right-

The issue in the gnome bug has been fixed (dragging text now creates a
file at the cursor position). The bug still manifests itself in other
drag and drop actions such the file-roller extraction mentioned above or
when dragging a download link onto the desktop.

This is not a bug. It's a feature. Just edit the acl file in /etc/squid-

Confirmed. Pybridge client need twisted 2.5, while lucid installs

Computer: Thinkpad T41 (old but favourite;)
I have this problem in the final release of Ubuntu 10.04.
I've removed fd0 from /etc/fstab and disabled in BIOS floppy drive.
And it works;) ubuntu is faster than ever, in the "Computer Nautilus
places" there is no longer floppy drive.
