Touchpad and USB mouse don't work at all on boot.
Switching to a vt and rmmod/modprobe psmouse causes USB mouse to work but
touchpad still doesn't.

For the sake of eliminating possibilities I've now tried a kernel
recompile with CONFIG_USB_MOUSE and CONFIG_USB_KBD unset, and that makes
no difference, symptoms as before, and behaviour the same if I reinsert
psmouse and restart gdm I get limited touchpad function back, no
physical buttons.

A clue - it was pointed out to me that Natty's kernel is using
CONFIG_USB_MOUSE=m and CONFIG_USB_KBD=m - this is not the case in
Maverick. Not sure if this would cause this change in behaviour. If so
this may be a kernel issue.

This issue has returned in Natty (alpha 3). I attempted to install on an
Acer Aspire One 110 (8.9" screen capable of 1024x600) and the installer
dialogs are just too large for the screen. In addition, the menubar
which would allow me to connect to a wifi network during install is off

Same error - wireless Canon MP620 printer got new DHCP address; CUPS

Installed freespeak on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10
Launched it and chose Google as the translator for a new Text
translation.
FreeSpeak fetches the list of languages available, but they are
displayed in another language than my locale (en_GB) - see att
Hmm. After kicking Airport Extreme and Express a bit, I found that avahi
started to identify the raop service on the Express, and it does now
seem to be working... so debug step would probably be use avahi-browse,
look for raop, if not there, restart routers etc...

Not working for me... I have both the zeroconf module and raop modules
installed and the raop-discover just doesn't see the AE. I'll dig into
router config but right not this is a major pain :-(

I think the latest debs are 2.3 - it would be nice to have an apt-get
(or even Ubuntu Software Center) installable package that adds a menu
entry and puts the binaries somewhere sane. By far a nicer / more
capable image editor than e.g. F-Spot (although I accept that the target
audience is differen

If I let the screensaver kick in and the screen get locked, and then go
away for a while, *sometimes* compiz.real will crash on

I've hit this bug today - I want to use gnome-web-photo with shutter but
it hangs. I've tried running at the command-line with both
xulrunner-1.9.1.5 (hang) and xulrunner-1.9.0.14 (outputs some text about
registering some mozilla.org python loaders, then hangs).

For grub2, edit /etc/default/grub and add pciehp.pciehp_force=1 to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT. Then save the file and run update-grub. In
my case, this makes both card readers work correctly under 9.10 on an
AAO 110L.

This was working fine for me, but one of the latest nightly updates may
have broken it - the grub menu is now appearing on boot, which is weird.
