I just repeated the same actions that I did earlier, and I managed to
reproduce the crash on my second try. You have to cancel the
installation very shortly after it begins. There were no other packages
selected for installation.

I also agree with the upgrade request. There is a floating image in the
game informing users to upgrade to 2.5.1, but unfortunately many users
dont want to compile from source, and don't know where to get the latest
release. It would be worth updating in the repositories.

I am able to access all the files on the PC using a linux live CD. I
plan on copying all my personal files and reinstalling Ubuntu soon,
however if there are any logs, etc. that would help fix the issues that
I had, list them here, and I will try to attach them.

I managed to get into initramfs by booting without quiet, splash, or ro,
and adding break=bottom to the boot parameters. I determined that my
linux filesystem seems to be intact, and all the files are located at
/root, but sadly I can't run many of the commands I'd like to such as
xconf or startx..
EDIT: Apparently, I can not hit enter or type text. I thought I could at
first but it seems to be COMPLETELY frozen.
