hmm... when I remove the quiet and splash options it still fails to
boot, even in recovery mode... it freezes loading (but i can hit enter
and type text) except for a flashing cursor after initializing and
mounting the drives on the system. There are no error messages on the
screen. The last line is "[   9.65584] sd 6:0:0:3: Attached scsi generic
sg5 type 0" followed by a blinking cursor. Is there a way for me to
determine what task it's trying to do during system boot that seems to
be failing and locking up the system, or possibly even a way for me to
force that process to quit, and continue booting? I'll try to get you
some additional information.
