In 16.10 there is a separate option "Modified-Time" now. This option
doesn't allow you to change the time format. I find "Yesterday 18:03"
not the best format. I'd prefer "2017-05-23 18:03"

no cpu freeze issues, I try not to reboot it at all, because sometimes when I

Nouveau worked fine, but I can't seem to run Android Studio on a live
cd, so I couldn't test the freeze issue. There was a problem with java.

morning when an Ubuntu update wanted me to reboot. Now the freeze issue
is back, seemingly worse than before. 3 reboots didn't change this.

10 minutes after bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1531845 was closed, it
happened again. CPU3 went to 100%, Firefox grayed out (I was watching tv in
firefox while building a project in Android Studio) until I typed "killall -9
java".
Apparently, upgrading my bios to 1.8
After the bios upgrade to 1.8, I have had not a single crash. I rebooted my
computer, did everything I could to reproduce the crash, but it didn't happen.
I can actually get some work done now. I'm a happy person.
I think it's ok to close the bug.

I am still experiencing this issue. Not just with Android Studio, it also
happened when loading a file in Gedit. CPU2 goes to 100% and stays there, while
Gedit or AS stops responding. In the System Monitor "Processes" tab, no
processes are taking more than 1 or 2% of a CPU. The process that froz
When I reported this, I was on Ubuntu 15.04. I don't know the version of
apport, I update Ubuntu whenever there's an update, so I suppose I had
the latest apport for 15.04 at that date.

AS, apparently, but still, an application should not be able to hang up
the whole computer.
