Same problem here with Ubuntu 9.04 x64 beta. When I press alt-ctrl-del
the system responds with a message: failed to shutdown md devices. After
that it restarts. Sometimes I see this:
Killing all remining processes... [fail]
Unmounting local filesystems...
mount: / is busy.

The issue appears to have been resolved for me at least in 8.10 x64. I
haven't had this problem for the last few months. I'm assuming that one
of the early updates fixed whatever was causing the crash.
8.10 has been working so well for me that I haven't been tempt

I just downloaded and booted the LiveCD version of Intrepid Ibex 8.10
Alpha 6 (64bit desktop version). The keyboard now works for me at the
install menu screen. It doesn't work for me with any of the Hardy 8.04
versions at the install menu, but does work once 8.04 is installed to
the hard disk..
