Public bug reported:
When I select "Restart" from the shutdown menu, or choose the "restart"
option from the top panel after installing upgrades, the computer goes
through the motions of shutting down, the Ubuntu shutdown progress bar
appears and progress is made towards shutting down but the computer
never restarts. I have to press the power button on the pc to restart.
Choosing "Shutdown" does work fine.
