There should at the very least be a warning with a yes/no prompt and
then have the user type in the root password one more time to finalize
it. This at least prevents anything rash from happening. As mackial
stated, more typing may be a good thing in this instance.

This is a copy of my response on the devel discuss mailing list where I was
also asking about this.
Well I got it [Screens and Graphics] to detect both monitors for a little bit.
At first all it
would show was my secondary monitor (which was not activated) when I presse

The new xorg does not properly detect and configure my second monitor. I
am using a Dell laptop and a NEC lcd monitor. When I access Screens and
Graphics program, it detects only one generic monitor with a resolution
of 640X480. I found this strange
I dont think the new xorg needs a .conf file. Its supposed to be able to
auto config or something of the like. You can make one though.
