Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
The new xorg does not properly detect and configure my second monitor. I am using a Dell laptop and a NEC lcd monitor. When I access Screens and Graphics program, it detects only one generic monitor with a resolution of 640X480. I found this strange because my laptop monitor was running and xrandr said it was properly set to 1280X800. I have a nvidia graphis card so I installed nvidia-settings, but because there is no xorg.conf, it really cannot do much. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Xorg does not properly detect and configure second monitor (Nvidia) + Xorg does not properly detect and configure second monitor in Hardy Alpha 1 (Nvidia) -- Xorg does not properly detect and configure second monitor in Hardy Alpha 1 (Nvidia) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
