I wanna share my observations relative to spontaneous compiz crashes.
1. This crash occurs only under conditions of hi load average and
insufficient free RAM:

OK, I managed to get mysql-query-browser with working schema selector by
applying the patch from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=266781

This bug has nothing to do with mysql-query-browser segfaults on x86-64
computes.
I've tried official static builds (mysql-gui-tools-5.0) from mysql.com.
The builds where r12, r11 and r5. Corresponding program ve
yes, it freezes exactly as described on 8.04 (alpha4; las synced 2008-Feb-08)
I then downloaded version 1.2.12 from mysql.com (x86 distribution-independed
.tar.gz pacjage), but it behaves exactly the same way. Thus I suppose it is
more likely mysqld bug then of mysql-query-browser.

removimg fglrx proprietary driver seems to fix the problem with
unresolved symbols, and I even managed to enable compiz etc.
But is it normal that there are conflicting video drivers in leading
desktop distribution? Maybe it is not a bad idea to set this two .deb
packages as conflicting?
