This bug has nothing to do with mysql-query-browser segfaults on x86-64
computes.

I've tried official static builds (mysql-gui-tools-5.0) from mysql.com.
The builds where r12, r11 and r5. Corresponding program versions are
1.2.12, 1.2.11 and 1.2.5beta respectively.

With r12 and r11, I've seen exactly the same freeze on selecting any
schema. But r5 (which is also default version in 7.10) doesn't seem to
freeze.

I've also tested r12 with latest version of mysql server, built from
sources, and r12 freezes on schema select, so it is definitely not bug
of mysql server package.

Finally, googling for mysql-query-browser freezes, i found
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=266781 and
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=32293
A soon as this bug seems to be already fixed in update for fc8, why not include
the patch in ubuntu package?
