I am working with Tzafrir on that packaging now. When we're ready, I'll be
asking for a Debian sync to get the new package into (at least) Natty, and I
will have a copy of it for Maverick in my PPA to test.

That was the plan. They'll have to be modified just a tad because some
of the installation directories are changing a bit (/usr/share/asterisk
will now only *hold* sound files and /var/lib/asterisk will be the data
directory, as it should be) but the major part of the packaging is
already done by T
Don't mean to just take this away, but part of what I am working with
the Debian Pkg-VoIP team on is this set of packages. Most likely, by the
time we are done, we'll be syncing this from Debian as well.

I should be more clear: this is in relation to the iLBC codec license
which seems to have a questionable status. That's why the codec was
dropped from the Debian build of the code. It would appear that the GIPS
license on the ilbcfreeware.org site is in conflict with the IETF

I'll do that, thanks. We are also working on longstanding licensing
issues with software in the package as well, so it might be a while.

I have made contact with the PKG-VoIP maintenance team at Ubuntu and I
am working with them on making changes to the package. I'll post on this
bug again when we can sync the package from Debian - hopefully, in
enough time to get it into Natty.

Well, that certainly explains why I didn't find something. It's been
about a month since the last commit, though, so it's possible it won't
be ready for Natty at this rate. Or at least, not comfortably so.

Really? I already looked there and didn't find anything for it. I've
been bungling my way through reinventing the wheel this entire time!

I don't think that's going to completely solve the problems with IPv6
and NM, unfortunately. It seems that when NM doesn't get a router
advertisement for IPv6 in a relatively short timeframe, it fails the
entire connection, even if it got an IPv4 address. Where that ties into
this bug is that if (b
