Well, that certainly explains why I didn't find something. It's been about a month since the last commit, though, so it's possible it won't be ready for Natty at this rate. Or at least, not comfortably so.
I have contacted him through Alioth and asked to compare notes, though I am already working with 1.8.1 (why not work with the latest version if that's what you can get?).
