I am running Ubuntu 8.10 with an Acer Aspire One. I can confirm that
when my brightness is up all the way and I try to go further with

I can reproduce this bug with version 2.12.0-0ubuntu5 of Evolution (that came
with Gutsy).
I am also running on a 64bit platform.
As soon as I click the "Reply" button the person gets added into my Contacts
list.

The installer could not find my IDE hard drive (160GB WD IDE) because

So when you first open gaim and your account window is open. You then
click the "Online" checkbox for that account you want to sign on and
then gaim crashes and it somehow tells you that it was an "Error 1000".
