The mvsas seems to work for me in the v3.2-rc4 kernel.

I have tried to get my disks up and running ever since kernel 2.6.38-8.
The Marvel 88SE6440 sata controller stopped working after the upgrade to
2.6.38-10.
Latest test are with 3.0.0-13.
Version: Ubuntu 3.0.0-13.22-generic 3.0.6.
I get a _lot_ of errors logged at boot:
