Public bug reported:

I have tried to get my disks up and running ever since kernel 2.6.38-8.
The Marvel 88SE6440 sata controller stopped working after the upgrade to
2.6.38-10.
Latest test are with 3.0.0-13.
Version: Ubuntu 3.0.0-13.22-generic 3.0.6.

I get a _lot_ of errors logged at boot:

READ CAPACITY failed
Result: hostbyte=DID_BAD_TARGET driverbyte=DRIVER_OK
Sense not available
Truncating mode parameter data from 28273 to 512 bytes
Got wrong page
Assuming drive cache: write through

Mostly no disks are found, but some times after a reboot one or more disks are
found.
Reverted back to 2.6.38-8 and all disks a found and my arrays are up and
running again.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Incomplete
