I confirm the problem. Bash uses gethostname which seems to be relying
on the content of /etc/hostname. I have patched Bash to use a better
API, getaddrinfo, the same used by the hostname utility when provided

Confusing. I don't see what rear jacks have to do with this, but they
are connected correctly to the motherboard, the same for the front panel
(which the bug title specifies as the one with problem). I don't see how
your links are relevant, since I neither want 6-channel audio nor multi-
streaming
3 onboard, 5 in the sound card, and 2 in the front panel. No, it does
not support 7.1 channels, only the sound card that supports 5.1. I don't
have Ubuntu installed at the moment, so I hope the other people post it
instead.

The above patch has a bigger context for pointing out line 6 from which
I had the idea of adding the mysterious 4 to the computed width in line

The IRC More plugin was renamed from ircmore to irc-more in some point
of time, but the debian package wasn't updated. The binary package
builds nicely (e.g http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48381144

I have 3 suggestions for implementing this:
1) In gnome-appearance-properties:
[x] Aply this theme to the login screen (displayed/enabled only if the user
has admin rights)

In console the same JRE is running. The JRE just asks for the current
directory. The terminal answer seems ok, but Nautilus always says
