Not solved for me.
I'm on Ubuntu 11.10, 64 bit.

I'm using Clementine as my music player.
I've installed all the latest updates and some media keys are still not working
with my "home digital wireless rf" ke

I've first restored an old Backup of January 2012 of Ubuntu 11.04 with kernel
2.6.38-13-generic.
I was astonished that the hdd also is NOT mounted with this os version.
As the HDD case now is also plugged directly into the mainboard's rear USB3.0
slot, ins

I've downloaded and burned the ISO and started with the live CD.
This Ubuntu version is also not automounting my HDD at the USB3.0 port.

The different boot parameters did not have an effect. It looks all pretty much
the same and the HDD did not have been auto mounted at any time.
I used this mainline kernel for the tests:
/~kernel-ppa/ma
I've tried with the kernel you supposed.
The problem persists, the external hdd is not auto-mounted.

PS: Correction of command in initial bug description:
$ sudo modprobe -r bluetooth; sleep 2, sudo modprobe bluetooth
must be
$ sudo modprobe -r bluetooth; sleep 2; sudo modprobe bluetooth
(The comma after the "2" must be a semicolon)

I have a problem with my external SATA HDD (built into a USB3.0 case), which is
connected to USB3.0 port.
The HDD is not auto mounted in Ubuntu 11.04, as I woul have expected. The HDD
is not even recognized as a device (e.g. /dev/sdc1), for instance in gparted.

at the USB2.0 port.

- using the context menu entry "Safely Remove Drive" fails from both Nautilus
AND Desktop, but works from Unity Sidebar.
- command line: executing "eject /dev/sdc" as root works fine.
