Sometimes it crashes at apparently random times, though there must be
some underlying cause. I can duplicate this problem anytime if I boot
up and change the screensaver to "Ant"... the computer will crash every
time. It will also crash if I g
I swore I typed "impossible" when I entered this problem. Oh, well.
This problem does not only affect me. There are lots of incidents
reported in October and November where the Ubuntu installer did not work
properly. I would boot and then stare at a black screen
indefinitely unless I put a

Gave up installing Ubuntu 9.10 because X-windows kept locking up. Tried
Xubuntu instead... Installed it only to find that when the web browser
would open, or any other program, there was no "X" to close the window,
no "-" to minimize window..
A am using 8.10 now and there are no problems with Exchange setup. The
problems disappeared with final release of 8.10 or shortly after. I am
not running 9.04 yet.

I had the same problem running OpenERP seerver 4.3 on ubuntu server
8.04. Error message when starting openerp server was

Same here,
on intrepid, all updates installed,
no way to connect Evolution to an Exchange account, throung Exchange
plugin, on 8.04 same account works fine...
get the same general message as reported above...

create additional link in /usr/lib/ to libexpat.so.1.5.2 and rename it to

after this wink starts correctly...

the same font family the same
keys are producing different characters. It seems like something is
wrong in detecting the correct code table to be used with the fonts
within ~/.fonts.
Have tried out Hardy and it seems to have same issues.
