X server 1.9.0 crashes reproducibly when a lot of gnome-terminal windows are
opened on GeForce 8800 GTS/nvidia drive

Alexander, are you still seeing problems? I upgraded my Maverick install
and see no more segfault and the menu is correctly displayed in gnome-
panel (wxbanker 0.8). Using 0.8.1 from the PPA, the menu is displayed as
normal because of the env workaround. I'll undo this work-around in

Ah Daniel, I see what is happening now perhaps. First, I had to press F4
in alsamixer to enable all capture options. Once there, for "Input
Source" (there's also "Input Source 1" and "Input Source 2" so that's
slightly confusing), I see the options specified in the enum you pasted,

I wasn't sure exactly how to update the changelog appropriately since
0.6.0.0 is a separate entry but ubuntu will never see it; it will skip
from 0.5 -> 0.6.1. If those entries should be rolled in to one let me
know.

Yeah, this doesn't seem to actually be implemented. I'm using the
Banshee daily PPA in Ubuntu 9.10. I think the upstream bug link is
wrong, that bug is about being able to drag playlists onto devices, but
this bug is about keeping a playlist in sync with a device.
