I confirm the bug. It behaves like Paul Kishimoto said - the message is only
quoted if "Show HTML if present" is selected.
I have a german Ubuntu 10.10 x86, installed from the final release live cd.

Same problem with fresh installation of ubuntu 10.04 i686.
Installed today, updated and then tried to install some packages (perhaps
vim-latexsuite).
How Philip Muškovac said I installed texlive-base and everything seems to work
now.

Today I tried to checkout on my 64bit Karmic eclipse but there it also did not
work with subclipse.
But subversive works! Of course that too is only a workaround because there
seems to be a bug/problem in libpango or openjdk or somewhere but for now I am
happy... ;)

I am not sure if disabling a malloc-check could harm/crash my computer so I
only tried the memory size commands (-Xms and -Xmx). I also tried export
GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 but that did not help.
I forgot to mention that I am using the Galileo version of eclipse and not
Ganimed.

Confirming.
The interesting thing: The system seems to update the files with this emblem.
One or two minutes ago only part of my files had this mark. Now it seems that
every file has it.

I have a fresh Karmic x86_64 installation.
I added three jabber-accounts in empathy and wanted to edit its names after
seeing the standard name was "Neuer Jabber Account" (german user). After the
second edit the program freezed and crashed.

Do you tried CTRL+ALT+F1 to switch to console and CTRL+ALT+F7 to switch back?
After that my Dell Inspiron 9600 + Nvidia + desktop effects worked again.
It seems to be a problem with the nvidia driver + desktop effects.
It appears every time I use a "Fn + some_fn_key" on my laptop like increase or
I have the same problem.
This bonobo.ui seems to be the problem.
Another bug with compiz appeared also with this bonobo.ui error.
I am using the AMD64 version by the way...
