I personally believe that a modern OS should include all languages out
of box. OS X does this, Windows 8.1 is probably there also.
In the context of Ubuntu, we do have an annoying concept of language
packs.

with IBus 1.4.x. As you've updated the IBus stack to IBus 1.5.x, you

I'm using NVIDIA binary driver on Ubuntu 12.04.
I still hit this problem.
On my system, NVIDIA's libGL.so cause segfault while Mesa's libGL works.
I'd prefer not to mess up with libGL.so linking so I do the following as
workaround:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/mesa/libGL.so python
