Same here. Tried cleaning the recents list and removing all nautilus
settings, didn't help. Happened after upgrading to 16.10

Then it's probably not the same cause, even though it looks the same. I
thought it was compiz+RAM related, but no matter how high it got (320
was max) it wasn't an issue with a different mouse.

Of all the things I thought were related to this bug, this one really eluded me.
I can confirm that the bug is gone if I replace my Razer Copperhead with a
random generic 10$ Genius mouse. After messing with mouse polling, razer is a
lot usable, but still it's choppier than what I get with the Ge
I have the same problem. After a fresh boot the system is fast and
snappy (compiz is using about 100-150mb of RAM at that point), but after
an hour or so of usage window dragging becomes really laggy and
irritating. Compiz is now at 290mb of RAM and increasing with usage.
