Public bug reported: If you open up the dash (either by pressing the super key or by clicking) and then use keyboard to hide all windows (Ctrl-Alt-D by default) while dash is still open, expected behavior is that windows will hide and the transparent area of the dash will reflect that. However, when you hide the windows, the dash background remains the same, and if you repeat the hide windows command a couple more times, different results can be achieved (sometimes you see both the windows and the wallpaper as a watermark over them, sometimes you see the wallpaper while windows are up, sometimes vice versa).
I've reproduced this on both my laptop and my desktop. Using 12.04, last updated today.
