That fix (nvidia driver) is still not available for 64bit. I can't find
it in backports nor in regular updates... trying to install nvidia-
graphics-drivers-180 says not found...

The fix in the comments there worked for me. Not an excuse as to why
the kernel bug exists now, but it is a temporary solution until a
developer hopefully notices the bug they added and fixes it.

As of 2.6.27-10 the bug is still present with my VX-3000. Yes, this bug
affects the VX-3000 as well as the VX-1000 in case the devs weren't
sure.
Following the instructions given by pgreenland above resolved the issue
(fwiw, I did not have to disable the driver he mentioned during
installation).

Sorry Takahani, this is a different problem. The messages in dmesg are
different, and that solution did not change anything for me; its still
broken the same exact way.

This is irritating to me, I wish it would include a working toggle to
enable a dialog warning when deleting files.
At least remove the part in the checkbox description under nautilus
prefs that says "or deleting files" since it doesn't work.
