No, I don't think that is the only issue. I'm trying to import OpenVPN
files provided by StrongVPN.
One of them is an older VPN file that does not have inlined certs. This
one used to work with no problems in Xubuntu 14.04. Since upgrading to
Xubuntu 16.04 I get an error when trying to import it.
Erik,
I'm using StrongVPN. I've used the same .ovpn now for several years and
it used to work fine.
I tried opening US West.ovpn from your .zip and it came in fine. I could

Make sure you've installed network-manager-openvpn and associated

Thanks for confirming! I'm also amazed that there has been no action
on this since I reported it last year. One would think this is likely an
easy fix since the functionality was available in earlier releases?

I tried kb1605 workaround. It only works with "click on touch" mode.
This is fine for opening programs, tapping menus but useless if you
