I'm sure that there's probably an easy fix to this one that will put reasonable bounds on swap. In addition to that however I think the installer should always display a summary and confirmation screen prior to going through setup. This way we can check things and be sure it makes sense before we waste time formatting and loading the OS. In my case I didn't discover the problem until a week or so after initial install at which point I had substantial additional software loaded and configured.
