[Bug 193968] Re: Hardy projectM doesn't work

2008-06-19 Thread JoePub
I have ran through this in gdb myself which had the same stack trace. The error was because a call to glGetintegerv asking for GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE was returning 0 which caused a floating point exception when trying to calculate the texture width. I added a check to the source code inside SOIL.c to

Tried using HG version of alsa which still did not work. It seems the auto configuring of the available HDA widgets from the BIOS is not working on the GA-MA78GM-S2H. As a work around you can add the line below to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch-dig Not sure if

[Bug 218906] Re: No CD controls in volume controls with ALC889a

2008-04-18 Thread JoePub
I think I may have found the problem. The current ubuntu repository version of alsa-driver uses the ALC882 patch for patch_realtek.c in the hda driver, but the latest HG repository has added a section to the patch_alc882 function to call patch_alc883 if the chip revision is the ALC889A as the ALC8

Not quite sure if it's the same issue as I believe this issue was related to ALSA bug https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=3746 Which says that a null pointer message appears in dmesg when trying to play via HDMI. I don't get a null pointer message is dmesg, I just hear no audi

Still have same problem after upgrade to linux-ubuntu-modules 2.6.24-15.20. I had already tried the Realtek drivers for the ALC889A from their website, so not sure if that buggered things up even more. aplay -l lists the HDMI output, but the analog and digital say it's an ALC882? card 0: SB [HDA
