I get this with my laptop on Intrepid Beta 1. I have no xorg.conf file,
and an external monitor connected to the VGA port. The laptop is a

This bug was marked as 'Fix committed' on 12-Sep-2006, but the problem

order to use xfce in VNC sessions. The next time I rebooted, I noticed

* Observe that the Resize button is faded as no choice has yet been made

I can confirm that the bug is present in Fesity Fawn 7.04 official
release. I was running gparted off the installer live cd in order to
repartition my system, and every so often, the partitions would be
mounted, causing the repartitioning step to fail. Note that these are
not 'removable' drives;
