Auto-MDIX (direct ethernet connection without a hub/switch/router or
crossover wire) worked for me last night between Ubuntu 10.10 and
Windows 7.
I created a new wired network connection in Network Manager and selected
the Local Connection type of connection.
I found the IP addresses with ipconfi
Thanks for your effort. v0.6.0 works for me, after some config file
fiddling. Full screen is broken, but sound and exiting gemrb work fine.
Unfortunately the screen does not scale to my netbook - 1024x576, but
that's hardly the fault of the packaging. I'll raise a bug with gemrb.

It would be great if the Update Manager could make it easier to detect
inserted live-cds or alternate install CDs. I ran apt-cdrom, so I am not
sure if the updater does that, but it would be a useful touch. I
couldn't find any information about how to do an update with the CD
otherwise.
