Hello, I had the same problem on my Acer Aspire 3000 with Sis 760 on Ubuntu
Intrepid 32bit.
Small flickering horizontal lines (about 3 cm long) appearing at the left edge
of the monitor and certian colors causing "snow" or "fuzzy" look about them.
In previous distributions I don't have this prob
yesterday I ran that command, and today I tried to login on GDM without a
password.
And I as able to login...
something is really fishy with my install. I dont even have a runlevel...
Next saturday I'll reinstall it on our Install Fest.

As I mention on u-dev-discuss ML, we also saw something like this happen on
Hardy RC for Portuguese.
In our case, it was the OpenOffice.org that failed to get the Portuguese GUI.
I request that language-selector should alert the user that Languages Packages
are missing some time after the inicia

it seems that using -s wont change anything.
BUT using -d parameter does affect the download speed.
So this is a bug, because not using -d, and only -u, it limits the
donwload to 10KiB/s and not the maximum of the connection.

I'm going to ask you a few more days so I can test current version of pidgin
adn GStreamer a bit more.
With todays updates, its seems to be working a little better (read no crashes),
but it better to be sure.

I have no trouble with my touchpad if I re-create my old gutsy xorg.conf.
but since the new hardy X 7.3 doesnt need one, without it no one will be able
to use the scrolls until some other way is found to store that info.

I've installed bug-buddy and after a few minutes bug-buddy started to try to
report a crash even after I press the Cancel button several times.
I was forced remove it again, as it makes my system unusable.
