The installer crashed during installation of Jamulus OS on my Seagate BarraCuda
510 M2 SSD from USB live image. The bug was already reported (3rd party
drivers) but I have some extra hardware info in attached JamulusOS.txt-file if
needed.

I was running different Nvidia graphic cards with different proprietary
Nvidia drivers (see my previous post).
Changed the Nvidia graphic card to an old HD 5670 Radeon AMD and loaded
the catalyst drivers. *Until now no more system hangups has appeared.*

we are proud of in the ubuntu community. It's always good to do an

So I think, that this bug should be looked at some more, before
categorizing it as a "wishlist" to dpkg..

I still have real performance problems with this gfx card on 12.04... I
guess that we have passed the eol on it with unity/complz combo.
Today I get a replacement computer with another NVIDIA Card.. And it will
be interesting to see what happens then

I have the exact same problem with my Quadro NVS 290 - Dual screen at work.
All other computers that is updated worked perfect, but this one is almost
unusable..
Is there any way I can help with a bug report on this?

that was clear, but when comes the patch to the Ubuntu kernel ? With the next
2.6.38.x with x > 8 ?
Im able to compile a kernel with the patch and use it on a productive system,
but I didn't wish to do that without any testing environment to find other for
me unknown dependencies

Yes it looks like the same.
There is a comment on FreeBSD ACPI Mailing List for AMD CPUs, where the
CPU Turbo Mode freeze native BSD Systems. Perhaps that correspondends
with this bug, because it would first recognized on AMD Systems.
If you prevent the boot menu of FreeBSD the BSD guests runs wi
be working.
The issue is not on 10.10 with the 2.6.35-28 at the same machine.
is it possible to update the package with a fixed Version from git ?
