Kubuntu 10.04 using blueman. When blueman applet has been used to set
bluetooth off, then bluetoothd is not running after a restart.
Symptom: blueman applet icon in tray dissapears right after startup when
bluetooth is set to off.
Workaround: start bluetoothd manually when bluetooth is needed.

Note that the debian versions for amd64 and i386 are different. It's the amd64
one that is up-to-date, the i386 version is not:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/beidgui.
I'm on amd64 myself, but I don't know whether Ubuntu wants different versions
for different architectures.

I can confirm this and might have some extra info.
Hardware: intel 945GM, 1440x900 laptop LVDS, 1600x1200 external VGA.
Software: Kubuntu 10.04 amd64 currently up-to-date.
Without Kwin compositing, everything works (but I prefer compositing
over the laptop display as a second screen).

an ipv4 settings tab for the vpnc configuration.
This is necessary for me for using the vpnc component, but this tab is missing
from the networ
I can confirm this, 32-bit version Kubuntu 9.10.
The gui says: 'connecting' (actually 'inschakelen', as I'm using the Dutch
version), but when the vpn is actually active, it still syas that and does not
allow one to stop the vpnc.
