I have delete UEFI and Grub partitions, thinking that these partitions will be
create again
Place is available on HD Samsung SSD NVMe 500 GB...
But install
same bug with Ubuntu 16.04 kernel 4.8.0-39
but 4.8.0-36 is OK.

Same problem in Feisty 7.04 with a Pinnacle TV pci board...
A "&" was generate every 5 second... or a random caracter every 5 seconds...
I finaly remove the TV board, and the problem disapear.
No, I use an other PC, and Ubuntu 10.04.
I think that probably bug was resolved ?
I put again,
very strange... You have exactly the same detection for the ATI 9600
Mobility M10 in lspci...
but you don't have any problem !
ps : I don't have easyly access to this laptop.

I succeed to boot in editing Grub2 menu to have the rescue mode by
default.
- We also have an other bug on the Ubuntu 10.04 Live CD : mouse cursor was
moving but NOT possible to click !
problem occurs only with the first line "Test Ubuntu 10.04 without installing"

I can not access to this computer every day. It's not at home.
This afternoon (Sunday 2007-02-18), I go to this Ubuntu 7.04 computer.
A lot of update was made !
And now... the problem disappeared !...
We were abble to type text correctly, without the borring "&" caracters...

- USB Keyboard is ok. I test it connected to a laptop with Ubuntu 6.10.
No problem
- On Ubuntu 7.04 Herd 3, even if I disconnect USB keyboard and USB
mouse, I continue to receive a "&" caractere every 5 secondes...
