Hello, Same problem in Feisty 7.04 with a Pinnacle TV pci board... A "&" was generate every 5 second... or a random caracter every 5 seconds...
I finaly remove the TV board, and the problem disapear. No, I use an other PC, and Ubuntu 10.04. I think that probably bug was resolved ? I put again, some week ago (in 10.04 RC) the Pinnacle board to make some Digital TV test (the Pinnacle board is DVB-T compatible I think). No problem at this moment (except that I don't succeed my TV test)... I leave the pci board inside my PC. Today, I make some upgrade. I don't know exactly when this start again. But it start again ! Not every 5 seconds, less... random... 1 caracter after 10 sec, or 1 min, or more... But some time, when I type a text, I have a random letter, or the speaker go to "mute" alone, or a pop-up asking me if I want to stop, restart, pause the computer come on screen. Borring ! I try several keyboard, ps2 or USB, but allways the problem : it's not a keyboard problem. Of course, I can remove the Pinnacle TV board :p But I prefers first send you the documentation. ---------------------------------------- My PC : - Asus M4A785-TD-M EVO (AMD Ati graphic on board) - AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor - 4 GB DDR3 $ uname -a Linux didier-ubuntu 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] RS780 Host Bridge Alternate 00:01.0 PCI bridge: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
