Public bug reported: Strangly, I was working correctly in U 10.04 Beta ! Problem occurs in 10.04 RC.
Sound is clear (no distortion), but I can't modify the volume correctly. Problem both with mouse and with keyboard : on the left of the "volume line", volume go directly for 0, low, middle, and high... If I use the "volume keys" on my multimedia keyboard, I can press Volume+ I have 18 step with "Volume+ key" : 0 no sound 1 low 2 middle 3 high 4 high 5 high ... 17 high 18 high ... No confortable. And it was working in 10.04 Beta ! ;-) ------------------- $ uname -a Linux didier-ubuntu 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] RS780 Host Bridge Alternate 00:01.0 PCI bridge: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
