I have an oops almost every time I resume from suspend.
I am familiar with some of the kernel code, but not in the area of
power-management and softirq.
I think this might have something to do with exhausted RAM, as I had a few oom
killer issues before the suspend issues hap

It is fixed upstream, what it means is that the next update will have that
fixed.
Ubuntu's policy is to not update packages as soon as they're out, but only when
a critical or security update is needed.
You can ask someone to put it in the backports repository.

Using gawk 3.1.4 I tried to make a simple script:
ls -ld /tmp/ | awk '/^.{4}r/{print "TEST"}'
On a computer that has read permissions on /tmp.
And I got no output.
When doing it the same without the interval:

The workaround that I offered earlier works only if the package cache is
updated, otherwise the install command overwrites it.
Can you try something different:
Before the install, move the file /etc/sysctl.conf to a different location,
and place it back after the install\update.

kernels for supporting the NX flag, this makes things work perfectly
with no added flags in the "server" variant of the kernel. (and on 64

The code is the same in the current SVN.
The bug is caused when the "dot" command is run with non-latin1 characters, the
documentation of GraphViz mentions it:

Rhythmbox uses GStreamer, I assume this is how it handles m4a, but GStreamer's
API is very complicated and I can't re-implement all of the MP4 code in gtkpod
to use it.
In the devel list there have been talks about making the mpeg4ip discovery
dynamic, to avoid two packages.

It turns out that my fstab contained /media/cdrom as a mountpoint, even though
it is a soft-link...
and it tried to umount according to it, so it failed.
I got another message as well:
There was an error ejecting the volume or drive.

I have a diffrent problem with it since it is identified as a CDMA modem
and not a UMTS/3.5G GSM modem, for my provider it was no problem since
