Further to yesterday's comment, issue is occuring while installing
(using debian-installer), at the "Install the GRUB boot loader on a hard
disk" stage. Displayed error is: "Unable to install GRUB in
/dev/mapper/--vg-root"
I have worked-around by choosing not to use LVM (I am choosing the

This is still occurring on Ubuntu 18.04.2. Hardware RAID1 & RAID0.
Tried adding quick_boot=0 to /etc/grub.d/00_header, no difference. If I
remove RAID, works fine.
Also proceeds past the error if I select "Guided - use entire disk"
instead of "Guided - use entire disk and set up LVM", but then
