I was able to reproduce it locally. Andreas Hasenack helped me come up
with a simple way to do it.
Inside a Jammy container/VM, with slapd and ldap-utils installed, issue
the following command:

I also confirmed that the regression happens with
2.5.18+dfsg-0ubuntu0.22.04.1; the previous versions aren't affected.

I am trying to install from DVD Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS Jammy Jellyfish. Error
messages are "Unable to install GRUB in /dev/sda" and "Executing 'grub-install
/dev/sda' failed" and "This is a fatal error." Installation log says under
RebootRequiredPkgs: SourcePackage grub-install
I am newbie. I may not have entered my help request in the proper way

I did a first review of the package.
My first question is a bit global: what's the use case for this? Is it
supposed to be used at build time? I think for now it would be easier to
have just a -dev package that provides the headers and static libraries,
and not bother with shared li
