Hi Brian, Thank you for taking the time to file this bug report.
I was able to reproduce it locally. Andreas Hasenack helped me come up with a simple way to do it. Inside a Jammy container/VM, with slapd and ldap-utils installed, issue the following command: # ldapmodify -H ldapi:// -Y EXTERNAL << eof dn: cn=module{0},cn=config changetype: modify add: olcModuleLoad olcModuleLoad: /usr/lib/ldap/back_perl.la eof Although the back_perl backend is deprecated, this is still a regression and we want to fix it. I am investigating what the underlying cause is, and will post any updates here as soon as I have them. Thanks. ** Tags added: regression-update ** Also affects: openldap (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu Jammy) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Critical => High ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu Jammy) Assignee: (unassigned) => Sergio Durigan Junior (sergiodj) ** Tags added: server-todo -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2072976 Title: back_perl no longer loads (file not found) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openldap/+bug/2072976/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
