its been a while since I logged this, I put in a work around to open with VLC.
But now with Natty Narwhal, they dropped Rhythm Box and now use Banshee.
I have been trying to use Banshee as a replacement for Rhythm box, but
it too has bugs, which are recorded in this site. Problem around Unbuntu
and am using 11.04 ...

It does ask you to upgrade a 11.04 install to 11.04. I just did it from
32 bit to 64 bit and it didn't boot up afterwards. It turns out I had
the linux-generic-pae (32 bit) kernel package installed which it thinks
is newer then the linux-generic (64 bit) package..

I have the same problem and the same messages in dmesg output when the
wireless connection stalls on heavy file transfer. It resumes after some
time automatically. I still am running kernel 2.6.38-8-generic.
