I am using the workaround - adding "ipv6.disable=1" to the GRUB_CMDLINE_
LINUX_DEFAULT line in /etc/default/grub- and this works well for me.
After the recent updates to the LIBIND packages , i tried removing this

to python and now it works for me.
This is how I did it from the command line:
$ sudo gedit /usr/bin/mousetrap
Search for "python" (there's only 1 occurrence). Replace "python2.5"

For me this is not with a laptop but does occur everytime I open firefox

There is one other location where the icon appears > on the panel only
during file operation. This icon in the panel will be replaced by a
monochrome icon in Lucid . So there wont be any confusion there either.
You could download the monochrome icon from latest lp:humanity and replace it
manuall
- There is no reason to change the icon , it was the design to indicate
actions on the folder and the icon only appears in 16px size on the
window title. This 16px icon has an even smaller pointer which is surely
smaller than a real pointer.

Hmm, the sync-mouse code is obviously bugged...
The simple solution is:
- Turn off sync mouse in eZoom
- Turn on "mouse panning"
- Turn on "draw scaled mouse"
Now you'll have a far better mode of operation, but you'll have TWO
mouse pointers. eZoom _can_ hide it for you with 'hide original cu
should be fixed in trunk/2714. detection is now based on file extension
instead of sndhdr.

What options do you have set for ezoom?
The core problem is that nobody ever fixes X Fixes so eZoom hacks it's
way around it, and sometimes fail... Hmm, didn't know this was still an
issue...

This is a well known bug (sorry), and it's not really an eZoom issue.
The basic problem is that the lighting normalization is plain Wrong[tm].
This can be seen in other ways too (try setting up a virtual setup with
10x10 monitors and grabbing a cube and you'll see the lighting is not
consistent).
