For me this is not with a laptop but does occur everytime I open firefox perhaps out of a hibernation. When it does it usually hangs firefox and most of the desktop.CPU load goes to 100% and sometimes call for a Killall firefox or systym monitor kill process. Occasionally I see a Zombie firefox running for a bit.
