I can't reproduce this bug, if you can then please include a copy of the
odt file and the resulting pdf. I am including an example output pdf. Do
you happen to not actually have the Arial font installed, and thus its
falling back to some other font that is defective?

When I ran Gutsy Gibbon, I had the same problem.

I am now waiting to hear back from someone who is building OOo with java
enabled on powerpc to see if I can just enable it, which will fix the
problem. If java still breaks on powerpc I know how to correct the
problem as well, so regardless powerpc will have a build of OOo,
hopefully later Monday (

Strike that about xfonts-* packages -- they do work, it's just the ttf
packages and msttcorefonts that don't.
I've tried dpkg-reconfigure on several different font packages; on dpkg-

My systems do not froze or stuck. The check is going on with normal speed

I can confirm this bug. I have loaded Ubuntu in a partition alongside
Windows. When mounting the NTFS volumes a new mount location is created
under /media with an appended _. I have added my music from one of the
NTFS partitions to Rhythmbox and now, after a restart, it is going
through the library

That was it (in my case, of course, unsure about the original
submitter's). ifconfig was showing the interface as wlan0_rename
(before the suspend; after waking up ifconfig didn't show
wlan). Anyway, I implemented the workaround describe in
183968 and sure enough it fixed the problem. Thanks!

Do you happen to know if you're on an ipv4 or an ipv6 network?
If you're an ipv4 network, try disabling ipv6 and enabling ipv4 listening in
your /etc/ssh/sshd_config:

If it's hardware problem It seems to be a AMD or Nvidia problem. I have 2
AMD systems, one at work (4800 on Gutsy) which is about one year old and one
at home (5000 on Hardy beta) that is about 6 months old. Both have exactly
the same problem.

Confirmed here. Happens on my desktop (Quad - Q6600) and notebook

Sorry for all the logs. I ran a gnome-power-bugreport right after boot.
I then typed 'gnome-power-bugreport.sh &> gpm-bugrp-dim1.log' but didn't
run it, just waited. As soon as the screen dimmed the first time (~25
seconds of idle time), I hit enter (causing it to dim all the way). I
