Sorry for the delayed response. I'm wondering if this may actually be
an issue with Xorg rather than the kernel since you said you were able
to successfully suspend and resume from the console. But, just to start
testing from the current development tree, the Hardy Heron Alpha series
I have the same problem. I looked at the email source and found a "=20"
(without qoutes) with could make the trouble. But i'm only guessing.

I have also recently noticed this problem with totem. AC3 work fine
using VLC .. but not with Totem. I'm using Hardy builds and the problem
still exists. I'll look into this and see if I can fix it. It's most
likely a problem with gstreamer or how Totem is trying to pass AC3 over

I had similiar issue with 7.10 on Apple PPC G3 platform. The source of the
problem was that initramfs was missing IDE driver for my hardware. The
problem only occured after install. The LiveCD had the driver.

I've been using Fluxbox for the last couple weeks, but then, I don't think
this (borrowed) laptop would handle GNOME too well. Mine needs to have a

Have you tried the latest nvidia driver at
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_169.09.html? I don't
know if this driver has been ported to nvidia-glx-new. You can always
use envy to install the driver.

I am unable to reproduce this error. A code review of the postinst did
not produce anything likely to have caused your problem. The full
console output from this error is needed for us to troubleshoot the
problem further.
