Tom, you are right that there is no means of determining what characters
have been sent from cwdaemon when you have sent a word to it, or a series
of characters. I realised this when I wrote a winkey server for cwdaemon (
http://g4kno.com/software_it/jWinkeyServer/jWinkeyServer.html). Winkey

Hello tlf-ers,
I've not been able to play radio for the past 5 months, and for the
short term future. However, I have been busy in other ways and thought
some might be interested in the winkeyer interface to tlf I developed.
It's similar to OK2CQR's solution, but with more features. It's here:
Hi Jim,
The VKM paths should be in the rules file, not the logcfg.dat file, but
the text you copied is from a rules file, so you should be OK. You'll
need to remove erroneous text, such as "(examples...)", but otherwise
you have it correct.
It looks like you might be using an older version o

Hi Tom,
I haven't tried out TLF in SSB mode for a while, but now have. The
play_vk shell script works OK, but the last line needs "un mute" to be
one word: "unmute", or it doesn't work.
An FYI, for others: I also had to uninstall "alsa-plugins-pulseaudio"
(Fedora16_64), or otherwise there's

I incorporated the 'official Fred hack', and it worked much better than

Hi Fred,
Just to mention that F12 works for me on pre2 (and pre1). I just
reconfirmed this is the case. It's the auto-CQ message. In fact I used
it a couple of weeks back as an unattended test message whilst I cured a
TVI problem.
However, I just tested whether the config variable 'NOAUTOCQ'

I remembered today also that when you arrow left when in the call field
to edit some part of the call you just typed, the absence of a caret

Hi,
Sorry about that, it was my fault. I just sent my hacks, to get it to do
what I wanted it to do, over to Rein and they appeared in the code. I'm not
confident enough to add in a config option for using the soundcard mic, so
hopefully you might do that Tom? I presume that's what's needed?

I've read the New_Bandmap.txt and don't think it works as described
there. If I enter a call, press ctrl-A, I see it added to the bandmap. I

I used TLF back in April to enter the RSGB RoPoCo SSB contest. Basically

Hi Tom,
Thanks for that.
There's a bug in netkeyer.c since TLF-1.0.0 that I can't figure out.
Its symptoms are that when in SSB mode and you hit, say, F1 to send that
recorded message, cwdaemon gets a PTT=1 command but gets another PTT=1
at the end of the message when it should get PTT=0. The
Hi Martin!
I'm not saying I can't get it to work with TLF/WinkeyServer/Orion on CW.
My problem is being able to use SSB with this arrangement. Because I
can't get it to work in both modes I can't use the winkey, and have
reverted to cwdaemon.
TLF sends the cwdaemon command to key the PTT whe

I took a look at that reference. I'm confused that it quotes tlf-0.9.32.3,
