problems for me :-)
I'll try this tonight when I get home. I do some work at home, and I've been
getting by by connecting to my work machine with an ssh client on Windows, but
if this works then I should really have no more reason to use any Microsloth
products any more :o)
Many thanks,

use Win NT to develop with Java, which is
quite humiliating :-(
How does everyone else get on with Netscape and Java (developing and
browsing)?

uns incredibly slow in
appletviewer, pretty slow in Netscape (before it crashes!). The same applet runs
OK in Netscape on Windoze, but (and this is the hardest part to say :-) it runs
lightning quick in Explorer.

It may be time to slap your forehead, roll your eyes skywards, and utter an
expletive. I think Dead Rat is rhyming slang for a certain popular distro. Or
were you joking about not having heard of it? Apologies if that's the case :-)

yes thanks. I've heard it's slow. In fact, that's all I ever hear about it, which is
why I haven't tried it yet.
Are there any other browsers which handle Java?

Could you explain what this is? How is it different to Netscape?
I though Mozilla was just the name given to their source code.

No problem. Thanks for explaining. One day, I'll have enough time to offer
my services

no doubt I wouldn't have the
problem now cos I don't boot into NT. At home, with Win 98, I've had none of
these problems whatsoever. Linux and Windoze get on very well and don't fight
over the clock.

Hi,
I have a floppy disk which is DOS formatted.
How do I format it as a Linux disk?
Sorry for the dumb question, but I searched in RH manuals and the RedHat
site, but no joy...
thanks,
